World's largest cruise ship has 16 decks, 2,700 staterooms

The Allure of the Seas is worth about 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. It left the shipyard in Turku, Finland, on Friday and is expected to reach its new home port in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in a few weeks.

Allure of the Sea, the world's largest cruise ship and the sister ship of Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, completed construction on Oct. 28 and will debut on Dec. 1.

With 28 ultra-modern loft suites and 2,700 spacious staterooms, this 16-deck marvel measures about four football fields and can accommodates 8,300 people, including crew members.


It measures 1,200 feet from bow to stern, 216 feet in width and its height from sea level is 236 feet.
